Usha Khanna was born on the 7th of October in Gwalior, India (during times of British India), and she is a well-known music director in Indian Cenima; she has been working in the music industry for more than 40 years, which is quite impressive. Even though there are more male music directors in this field, she has become one of the most successful female directors in the field.
Early Life and 1st Song in the Film Industry
Usha Khanna's father, Manohar Khanna, used to write songs and sing in Gwalior; in , while in Bombay (now Mumbai) there, she met Jaddanbai, who was Nargis Dutt's mother. Jaddanbai encouraged him to write ghazals in Hindi movies using the name Jaaved Anwar. Usha Khanna's first song in the Hindi film world when the famous music director O. P. Nayyar introduced her to Sashadhar Mukherjee (a big name in Indian cinema); impressed by her talent, Mukherjee asked her to compose music for the movie "Dil Deke Dekho" in , which was considered as the start of her successful career.
Career
