I am the first son out of four children of the late Maj. Gen. Mamman Jiya Vatsa, a former FCT Minister. I currently work as the Director of Protocol, Niger State Government House, Minna.
How was growing up for you like?
It was quite an experience because we did a lot of travelling with my father, he was transferred a lot and we were always moving from one location and military barrack to the other.
What are some of the fond memories you have of him?
There are a lot. No matter how busy his schedules were, he always created time to spend with his family, especially during summer. Nigeria was a very interesting place then. I had the opportunity to visit many states in the country; including Lagos, Kaduna, Cross River, Jos in Plateau, and Abuja. Lagos used to have one of the most beautiful amusement parks in Apapa. We also went to the bar beach and Ikoyi club. Then, bar beach used to be a lot of fun.
